^^^^And why is that? Because the judges seem to feel that she can do no wrong (I feel like Bianca all of a sudden). This would be good if she had given more in the face. You have to look very closely to see any emotion, as opposed to Natalie for instance (the most obvious example)

Then how do you explain Teyona getting called second in the paint powder shot. You saw her shoot. She was smiling like an alligator the whole time. I doubt her film was any good. Her photo looks like it was taken when Jay was talking to her. But of course Tyra didn't mention that, since Teyona is the pre-determined winner of the cycle.

I always agree with everything you say, most of the time, but don't judge. I do watch the show for actual modeling; just because i'm on team teyona doesn't mean i don't! it's just a coincidence that i like her, i guess. she's not the next jourdan dunn but she is beautiful. even if her hips are a little big.

I'm not saying you do or everyone does. But I do know that most people who aren't really into the show for much more than entertainment aren't going to question Tyra's critiques. Some of them think, "well, she's a supermodel. She must know a great picture when she sees one. What do I know about fashion modeling? Guess Teyona's the best photo." It's not terribly uncommon.

^ That's true, I guess. & this is definitely not the best photo. natalie's is. in fact, i just think this picture is OK. it's not special, and the boob is unacceptable.

ARGH! I wanted to like Teyona, but her bitchy moments paired with Tyra's sticking her in the top three every save one shoot is just so irritating. I'll still take her over Blahminat and FOrt Short, though. She still at least looks like a model.

Well David, I myself am perplexed by that paint shoot, but the only reasonable explanation is that we don't see the actual film. The reason her paint shot turned out well could be the same reason her shot this week was ok, even though she appeared to be working it out on set. People are so quick to assume a girl did one way or another based on what they see of a girl shooting, because the TV camera and the photog's camera are at two different angles. Something can look gorgeous from out angle, and hideous at another, or vice versa.

And regarding an earlier comment, I like Teyona, and I've been watching this show for modeling for six years. If you're letting her 'bitchiness,' (ONE altercation that occurred ONE day) affect your opinion of her, then you yourself are not watching the show entirely for actual modeling. Even if yelling at Celia that ONE day was 'bitchy,' I'd say she made up for it with her maturity regarding her challenge win.

Yes. Teyona still has a good portfolio and is the strongest black girl left. She just doesn't deserve AS high call-outs imo.

I love Teyona. HOWEVER, it looked like she had some better shots. This is not first callout-worthy. Still though, Teyona FTW.

Teyona just isn't that great. I like her second picture but that's about it. I don't like the high forhead that goes halfway up her scalp. Her and Aminat keep getting into confrontations with people. They say that the other one is being a witch but they're the ones that are being stupid.

Another thing that might contribute to her callout order is that the judges have not yet decided on what to criticize her on. Caridee, for example, had her personality, Jaslene had her three weeks of mediocre shots, etc. Most of her competition has come from Allison and Celia, who have missed out on high callout in certain weeks due to the one-note thing, landing her in the bottom three a lot, and the Tahlia thing, which got Celia in the B2 when she clearly deserved FCO. Other girls, like Aminat and London she just trampled over, and deservedly earned higher callouts over.

My theory on why Teyona seems to be sailing by with no trouble is that the judges DO want her as the winner. Not because they just picked her for some BS reason (Whitney's fatness, Saleisha's ____?) but because Tyra thinks she's doing us a favor. All over the boards, people have been complaining that they want a modelesque winner with a consistent portfolio for many cycles. Teyona is the only one who fits that role, as well as the black winner as per the 3 cycle rule. By airing a bit more of their praise for her, giving her high callout, and ultimately picking her as the winner, Tyra would hope to finally have that winner that everyone loves. And despite the mass-hatred she seems to have on this site, it seems to be working on pretty much every other site I visit.

And @CariFan, how does she "keep getting in confrontations"? She got into it with Celia ONE time. That's it. I feel like she's been giving the kiss of death by siding with Aminat one time, because now everytime Aminat does something, people will associate her with it, and dub Teyona as a bitch.
