^^^^^ There's nothing wrong with being excited for a girl just by judging their pre-show photo. You really seem to have a problem with people liking her.
WOOHOO! When she told me she was the first Native American girl I was like WAAAAAAH?! I just looked dumbfounded and was like "Has there seriously not been any Native American girls throughout the entire 17 cycles that have been?!" Talk about a late start! ANYWAY, another one of my favs. Please win this!!!
Native Americans tend to get a raw deal in fashion as it is considered a demographic too traditional and too culturally influenced for designers to appeal to. This has created the current environment where models of Native American (no matter the tribe) descent have been ostracized and almost invisible. Mariah is striking and has immense potential, especially for luxury work (think jewelry or sports car ads) but because her features are so stereotypically native, her career will suffer.
I'm sick of these "no personality" eliminations. I'm hoping this girl pulls a Mollie Sue and uses her early elimination to her advantage and becomes very successful.
