^I disagree Eat... Naima had more real world potential to me. If they were both sixteen and sent to NY, I think Naima is the one that would book more jobs(If any.) Saleisha's look was painfully plain, to the point where people I knew, even my mom(who has VERY commercial tastes) just couldn't believe she won. At least Naima took two of the best shots in her cycle(Animals, Dancing in Cape Town) to even out her suckage.
IMO i think Salisha only took 2 good shots (crowd, wall). Naima also had 2 good shots (police, dancing), i wanted Kahlen to win but i think Naima deserves the win over salisha. I looked through SS's portfolio and i can't find a pic of her smiling GOOD!
^^I think that Naima's face is incredibly bland and pretty, as is Saleisha's. I think that Saleisha's body was worse than Naima's but had a better walk. Naima was incredibly inconsistent, while Saleisha started off bad and improved [although she was usually among the weakest of the week because Heather, Lisa and Jenah pwned this cycle]

Saleisha has a very common look. I think Naima's look is very unique and exotic, and she has alright bone structure and versatility to her look. Naima only took 2 bad shots(Kloofing and Wonderbra), neither being entirely her fault(Not sure if I believe her, but Tyra says she picked a bad shot on purpose, and the wonderbra shoot was just awful overall). The rest were always among the better ones of the week, INCLUDING her zodiac shot, for me.
^^For me, Naima's face is absolutely common. There are girls with that face in many high schools and they are not special. People think her look is "exotic" because she has an interesting racial background, that doesn't make her exotic looking. I would have cut Naima at the WonderBra, her portfolio was all over the place: Aliens- Good, Flowers- Mediocre, Kloofing- Bad, Ethnicity- Good, Gas Attendant- OK, WonderBra- Bad. People [in general] seem to think interesting ethnic background+mohawk+quiet personality=win. Naima's face is good for commercial work, nothing else and even then, she's still kind of meh.

Naima's face isn' the most special out there but its not common
She has nice bone structure. I think she has some potential. And she has a versatile look that could cross over to commercial.
As for her pictures, here's my opinion -
GREAT - Flowers, Zodiac, Sins, Dance, CG
Good - Ethnicity, Aliens, Gas Station
Bad - Kloofing, Wonderbra
The majority is good. And her bad shots, like I said, weren't entirely her fault. I don't remember how her body was but she has a great walk as well.
I don't think she could ever do fashion TBH, she's good for more commercial work and has a look that would probaby have worked in the 90s but I really don't see anything special about her face TBH. There are a lot of multiracial pretty girls with semi-decent bone structure who have a look similar to Naima, most of them are not models. Also, ew to the gut she is sporting in that picture.

She has some nice post show work that says otherwise, though. But let's just agree to disagree.
^She's done some runway work recently [which she probably would have gotten 4 years ago if she had toned up her body], but most of her work is mainly catalogue/commercial/alternative, she's a bit inconsistent in terms of working as well [and is currently more focused on her band] but I'm all for agreeing to disagree.
^^^^ I know this might be beating a dead horse, and I know people might not like me saying this, but Saleisha's walk is typical. Every black girl especially from the hood knows how to walk. I'm a black(well half) BOY from the hood and even I can do a good runway walk. Walking is something that can be learned; Saleisha's problems are just... They require the use of some very expensive surgeries.
^Tiffany had an awful walk, Saleisha's walk is good [but very outdated], if this was 1997, she'd be a superstar with that walk, it's good for the commercial runway work she gets.
i love this pic. I think she's seeling the product. I honestly don't get why they say its bad. She does look a little bit too thin, but still she looks cute and approachable.
^^^Well, I guess it's good that she's selling the product to SOMEBODY (she isn't selling it to me at all), so I guess it's not a complete failure. I try to not dislike her photos just because they're of her, but I really don't like this one
