@Mycatjewel: Yes, that's what I'm thinking too. It's not so much the colors that would have made the background better. As it is, it just makes me think that it's a low budget production, too ordinary. It could have passed as a gorgeous fashionable girl in cosplay taking a pic with her boyfriend in the park. However Lauren was working it and did a fantastic job.
@Jesse, honestly, I didn't really get Whitney's picture. All she's doing is standing there and looking into the camera with her mouth gaping open. I thought Anya, Lauren and Fatima did better, at the very least. The rest are pretty level with her's, but I prefer theirs.
KJM up there I see what you mean about the background and now thinking about it, I agree with you. I also like the bright red popping against the dull background. I was just thinking how like everyone else pretty much had these wild sets and abundant props, and it should be balanced. But I think this is good how it is. Oh and Babin/curdledsauce - Yay Kat! She was my favorite girl this cycle!!!
This is so Shirley Manson, she looks spectacular...but if the goal was to portray pop music I would have put a blonde girl in a pink dress with a neon lights wall behind her
^I would have liked that more, it would have fit with the theme better. It would be nice to see her do something out of her comfort zone and try to be more mainstream and commercial.

^I don't think the point was to be commercial. They were just meant to portray the music genre they were given. And Lauren did that nicely.
^I know that the point wasn't to be commercial, but I personally think the shot would have been more interesting if edgy, high fashion Lauren went for a more feminine and girly approach.
