I agree that supermodel is a far outside Whitney's range but seriously, how many girls from ANTM have that anywhere within reach. Even girls like Elyse or Mollie Sue with all of their work are only so well-known because of the millions of Americans who watch ANTM. They aren't internationally recognized supermodels just because they work overseas, they're just girls who have got a lot of work.

Can you imagine all the people in Hong Kong who've never even heard of Elyse. Until I see one of them in a meet the model feature in a major fashion magazine, they're just exceptional models.

Oh, and it is not calling her a supermodel, it is saying she is redifining the term.

It's amazing how having dark hair makes a difference in how much better she looks in this set of pics.

@David, I think not. Go type in "plus sized models" on Google, and Whitney pops up all over the place. She IS one of the most successful.

No, that merely means she's well-known. Models like Caridee and Paris Hilton are well-known, yet I wouldn't consider them terribly successful.

^I agree, success is not defined by how many google hits you get. For example, you can search an artist's name and find lots of paintings. That doesn't mean they're successful.
