@seriousfashion do you know why she quit the show?? it was because her boyfriend had committed suicide a couple months prior to her being on the show, so they thought it was too much to be on the show even though she still wanted to model. It was Tyra's crew that told her she had to quit in front of the judges and humiliate herself
She did talk about it, but she said she'd always wanted to model and entered the competition to try and distract herself from her boyfriend's suicide, but it didn't help and made it worse, so she quit.
^^Yeah, I know Lauren has mentioned it. I think she also said that she was thinking of quitting when she chopped off part of her finger, and she was told that she would have to do it in panel.
^Yeah, Lauren said in an interview that she wasn't allowed to wear the little cast on her thumb when they were filming their Covergirl commercials. Even though her commercial was downright awful, having part of your finger dangle around and going through the pain might have distracted me as well.
I feel like everyone collectively forgot what happened to Lauren's finger after the episode it happened. I don't think it was even mentioned in later episodes. Its an outrage, especially because with all that went down, her commercial was still somehow on the upper half of the week. Back on Kim, I felt bad for her on the episode. I think the panel could've handled it better regardless of the events leading up to it.
