I think this shot is overrated. I just don't get it.

it's a nice shot of Nicole...but these are the many shoots where she doesn't push hard enough.

She doesnt need to do much. But to understand this picture one must look at the art it is based off from. The Girl With The Pearl Earing, and since I got into antm to get better at my artistic skills, I think she connected with the art perfectly and completely modernized it. The Girl With The Pearl Earing is supposed to be about bluntness and naiveness, which she portrays with her eyes. i love it.

This looks like a painting. really. Its beautiful.

She just looks ditzy here/dumb (tm Paulina)... But what REALLY bugs me is the weird outline they put on her... What is that?

Again quite pretty, but there's nothing special about it. Her expression is more "caught in the act" than loving or longing.

Overrated.

i agreewith chartreusepony, This is so regular i can even say if its good or bad. This is the only shot Jayla kicked ass (damn I hate that girl)

Its just adequate. Its okay but I'm not like WHOA!! like when I saw Nik's. IMO Nik was the only who truely ROCKED this week's shoot.

Her eyebrows are too severe. The girl Vermeer painted has a much softer expression and she's tilting her head back a bit. Nicole did none of that.

she looks possessed. must be taking xiomara lessons.

I'm sorry, but the essence of Vermeer's work isn't there. Speaking as someone who is interested in the field of art, none of the girls captured their art pieces fully. And when Tyra told Nicole to be "Haunting" it just totally goes against the way Vermeer painted women and I found it to be rather stupid.

^ Agreed. Since they were useing very famous classic artwork, I was annoyed by how bad they looked. I even hated Nik's Vitruvian Man, which is a sketch not really an artpiece. But Tyra wouldn't know that.
