Yeah I saw a show on MSNBC earlier this year about transgender teens and their struggle, also introduced the Vogue scene. She was in it, I saw her story. I like her though, she's cool.
I just read on perezhilton.com that Isis was born a man. I know it must seem like a publicity stunt, but I have faith that Tyra put her in based on her potential not her gender. I'm sure the producers loved it. And after further reading I hear she was one of the homeless girls featured in the Homeless photoshoot "cycle 10", I remember Jay quoting 'Isis is wearing me out' (as in she is doing so good). And people, please don't argue this as another Saleisha Scandal, just because she was known before she was chosen as a Cycle 11 girl. I think we can move on, that was sooo 2 Cycles ago!
a good model has various walks for evening wear, casual, etc. whitney was all jiggly, which wasn't good for a high-fashion brands evening wear. as long as isis has variety and deserves it, i don't mind her winning.
i saw her other promo photo and i think she poses wonderfully ... the pose and the face is different (quirky) yet fantastic! i'm looking forward to her photos
Isis, is teh ONLY GIRL who has acquired so much controversy from just being born. And I know there is so much talk about her only being picked because of ratings or whatever, but I truly belive, that this girl was picked, and will make it far based solely on her talent and skills. She's brilliant, and that's why Tyra wanted her back in the first place. The fact that she's a transgender is not controversial to me, because she is beautiful, owning it, and, has Top Model ever gotten this much press before?
Her walk is way too commercial!!! ^when Whitney walked for Gai Mattiolo I cringed. I cringed more then when Lauren walked. Whitney's walk like Isis's is way too bouncy. I actually think Isis isn't beautiful. sorry!!
