Well a taxi is safer. Especially if your a woman. So be weary of someone following you to your building. Umm but there's no specific time. I mean if you're going sightseeing then to dinner I'd say anywhere between 9-11. But a taxi is much safer especially if you're going long-distance. But if your walking with friends then you can walk, its safer than being alone. But the crime rate is at its lowest in years.
Well a lot of yuppies are moving back to Harlem as its being sort of, made up again. I mean their building Starbucks and luxury appartments. And stuff like that. But there are some neighborhoods in Harlem that are safer than others. A lot of students live there. Especially by Columbia and up there. They have nice brownstones as well.
^If you are a newcomer, NYC will be overwhelming. But fun.
Oh yeah, um, don't know how to say this but, us teens have a bit of an attitude problem?...
Yeah.We do. So, just because you're older doesn't mean you will be treated with respect here.
METROCARD TIME! When using metocards, swipe, then push. Because it's so funny how some people think there's a button...
^ NO, DAVID. *slaps* Hairspray is nuthin here, compared to OUR STARBUCKS COFFEE CUPS AND JAMBA JUICE SMOOTHIE STRAWS!
Oh yeah, and everybody looks bored here. Most have this smug expression 24/7. Cuz nothing in America is as cool as the things in NYC.
^^^Haha. I mean NY is great. Its the city that never sleeps. And I mean it, there's always something going on. But appartments and locations just depend on your budget. If you google it I'm sure you could find more opinions and things like that.
But you have to go to Broadway. I love broadway soo much.
I would love to live in NYC....or Vegas....or anywhere toher than the remote, West Texan town live in. We have *no* post office...so really, we're kinda just a farming community...across the street form our highschool, are cows. I'm not even kidding. You can look out the door and see cows....
I never realized how like "convienent" living in the NY metropolitan** area is. Like we have a great school district, out town was the first to desegregate its schools on its own. I mean I love NY, and not the one from Flavor of Love.
There's soo many NY accents omg. I can tell if someone's from Jersey, Staten Island, Upstate, Brooklyn, or somewhere just by their accent. I personally don't think I have an accent but then again how could I know. lol
Its tru, and im not even THAT southern compared to others here. Btu when I talkk to people from other places their like "AWWWWW Say sumthing else" bahahahaa
^@ KJMC: I know! I feel lucky to live in the most diverse, fun place that is considered the capital of the world. Weirdness is accepted and LOVED here. TBH, I could NEVER move to another place, esp. the South (no offense guys), b/c it will probably be too closed and sheltered for me.
@yenegon, I agree. The only other place I could live could be Tokyo. But then again its not as diverse. lol. But I wanna live in Paris. And not everyone from NJ is loud and pushy. I hate it when people get on tv and their like yea this is how it is in jersey!!!! Cuz no its not... not even in Bayonne. haha
@Jesse, Yenegon can vouch for this but the closest we get to SWEET TEA is SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA!! haha.
sweet yenegon ill remember that..haha ny sounds really exciting when you guys listed all the places, sophie you aint missing much the only thing in vegas is really the casinos and circus circus (like a small theme park) but everybody here's done it all, we feel stuck in one place with nothing to do, we used to have a water park but they closed it to make a casino -_- we also have the NewYorkNewYork which is this giant roller coaster but uh thats it. the strip is fun tho, but boring after 10 times.

See, we have no respect from our elders.
TBH, new yorkers are pushy and rude. I'm rude and pushy. But we're fun.
