Do whitneys love food? Do Caties cry for lost hair? Are girls named Tiffany doomed to a future of beer-drenched weaves? I believe so! As are these things true, David18s kid not.
I like small schools. We all get to know eachother, we have space, and the teachers know our names, ha. And we get attention. Killa, nah, it's Power of the Uchiha, I just love Sasuke eppys.
Times Square sucks compared to other things here. The Cloisters, Metro Museum of Art, Bronx Zoo, 3 Chinatowns, Harlem (BREEEE), Flushing-Corona park. Go to 5th Ave. In BROOOOOOOOOOKYLN!!!!!! Go to Court Street in Brooklyn Heights, and see all the family-fun shops and botiques. NYC is fun, but BTW, not everybody lives in a crime-ridden ghetto, or in the Upper East Side, Gossip Girl style. There are a lot of sweet middle class neighborhoods all around. If you do come here, PLEASE DO NOT WALK SLOW. For god's sake, people need to go places! If someone shoves you, accept it. Don't take pictures at Ground Zero!!!!!!!! How disrespectful. Speed-walk! Do not wear I <3 NY shirts. Obvious tourist. No fanny packs.
New York rocks. I'm from Jersey but I live 10 mins away. Its awesome. There's traffic but the subways rock... although prices are going up. But there's no need to drive... you'll spend an hour looking for parking unless you wanna pay 30 something for a parking garage. You have to see all the museums and art galleries. And madison avenue, 5th avenue, the bronx ZOO!!!, 125th street, Chinatown, Soho, I mean there's soo much. The crime rate is at its lowest in years.
Yes there's soo much. Its so stereotypical. There are plenty of average neighborhoods.
Also if a cap almost hits you, its okay. Cabs do that like everyday. Oh and BROADWAY!!! OMG
AMEN Yenegon, those I love NY shirts are ghastly and cross the street when YOU have the light. Its soo annoying when people walk when they don't have the right and get angry when they nearly get their butts clipped.
Oh and Times Square during the day is sooo crowded. Its WAYY better at night.
People have attitudes here. But here, you can wear a ridiculous outfit, and you will not be made fun off. No cars. It's all Subway, Bus,and Taxis here. There are a lot of everybody here, so don't be like if two gay people start kissing. Just saying that b/c some obvious people were gawking at them like if they were aliens. Learn some slang!!!!!!!!, *cough Jesse cough* Go to Brooklyn!!!!!! The Botanical Garden in Crown Heights!
At KJMC: WORD!!!!!!!!
Also, don't start staring and walking super-fast when you see someone looking "gangster". They're not gonna rob you, dummy. But they might, b/c it pisses people off when you stare!!!!!
Go to DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
Always have your money ready when you buy something. There will almost always be a long line. No one likes it when you spend 3 minutes (that's a lot of time here!) finding your stupid wallet.
Slang is the language here. Don't speak like a fool, but proper language isn't exactly the norm here. But relaaaaaaaaaax. Some tourists are so uptight.
There are so many resturanuts here, so PLEASE do not go to Burger King or McDonalds, or Olive Garden. The local pizza here is DIVINE.
Oh yes. You can wear w/e you want basically. You might get a stare for a few seconds but nothing major. And...
There's almost ALWAYS gonna be a crazy person in your car on the subway so deal with it. Just don't stare and don't sit near them. Most the time they just yell out random stuff to themselves.
There's also homeless people in subways too. They don't do anything but most have cups out begging for change but most people don't give them anything. The subways aren't THAT dirty and they aren't crawling with rats. But you never know. Also don't stand on the yellow part in front of the tracks. Your just gonna fall down on the tracks and look like an idiot. But that hardly ever happens.
Umm oh a LOT of clubs are in the meatpacking district. So if your 21 then thats where a lot of clubs are.
AND please don't settle for fast food. There's tons of divine restaurants.
There's a lot of great malls!! A lot of people go to the QueensCenter or go to the malls in Jersey that are 15 mins away.
What else.....?
GO TO THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE, AND CROSS TO THE WALL STREET AREA!!!!
David, some good neighborhoods here are Cobble Hill!
It's mostly pretty italian brownstones on tree-lined streets. But it's a bit expenisve. The norm is 2o00 to 3000 a month. Very family-friendly though. boreum hill is more expensive too. Red Hook is cleaned up, but still not that good. But more yuppies are moving there. park Slope is expenisve too, but like a bigger verson of CH. Sunset park is cheaper, but not very nice.
Manhattan: A tiny rathole is 2000 a month. No. Unless you're rich.
Bronx: Getting better, but not good.
Staten Island: IDK.
Queens: Cheap for apartments, but in not good places. The pretty suburbs cost more than 800,000.
