This is a great shot of her, but what the judges did not feel is the topic of the shot being shown in this photo. She looks pretty but not as an immigrant, that's why she was called out so late.
It doesn't suit the character. She's an immigrant and it's more like she's just going into "fierce" rather than into a story for the person she's portraying. It's a pretty picture but it doesn't suit the brief. I do like it though, don't get me wrong.
^I disagree.. To me, it's like she's waiting for sth (immigrants did wait a lot at ellis island in order to be accepted in the US), and she's waiting fiercely..
I know last week Natalie really got on my nerves, but this shot alone makes up for it. Its fashionable, it fits the character, and she looks the most beautiful I've seen her. Maybe the one that should have been called first!
Too bad Tyra has shown this week she is going to give her the Katarzyna treatment.
^agreed that Natalie is getting the Kat treatment; that was my thoughts exactly. One bad photo and she will be sent packing just b/c the judges don't like her.
As for this photo; I think she looks the most modern (the goal of the photo shoot). One of the best of the week.
I wouldn't say she is getting the Katarzyna treatment. Kat got practically zero air time, whereas Natalie has had several of clips to try and elevate her as the "snotty bitch" character. The judges say she's dull, but they've said that before about many girls, who then eventually open up at near overseas.
And plus, the girls who usually get no air time in the first half of the cycle either:
A) get the Kat treatment, or
B) Practically narrate everything in the second half, being completely ignored in the first.
I hope Natalie's arc developes a bit and that she amazes the judges with a first call-out, or that Tyra TELLS her to be more active (although I see no need). But I don't expect her to win. But I want her to go far.
^I hate how predictable ANTM has become. If I had seen ANTM without knowing what would happen, at the very least, I'd be surprised with some of the judge's decisions in C1 and C2, rather than already seeing it coming
^^Its certaintly not exactly like the Kat treatment b/c she has had some air time, I just think they are similiar b/c they already are focusing more that they don't like her personality over the fact that she is performing well in photos and challenges and that she has potential.
True, but this could turn into a surprise arc as we speak. As more girls leave and time passes by, Natalie just might open up to the judges. Or not. Tyra also might be tempted to eliminate her since her sexy look may be well liked in the international destination, giving competition to her treasured black girls who she's pushing for the win (Teyona). Celia and Allison probably wouldn't be nearly as popular as Aminat, Sandra, and Teyona's ethnic looks, so the only other threat is Natalie.
At first i thought this cycle was really predictable but now im just confused i am so confused natalie seems to be one of the best but the judges clearly arnt fond of her so she might as well start packing her bags.
When Tyra mentioned she needed to bring more personality that PROVED to me she'll get a Katarzyna treatment. Minus the rudeness from Tyra and the panel and Fatima and forgetting how to say her name.
Well, I guess all we can hope for then is that she follows Katarzyna's gorgeous footsteps and kicks ass after the show, although I already dig her show portfolio.
