Easily the worst shot from Cycle 10. It's not good in any way. Her eyes are beyond dead, she looks like she's clawing her chest open-- there's nothing engaging about this shot. It's atrocious. And her lack of drive was so apparent.
lack of drive? the reason this photo came to this is because marvita was trying to give something different. the judges were complaining that she was only capable of a "fierce" face, and a model should master a "soft" face as well. she tried, but got this. she said all those clips of her being down were all from different episodes, not that week. everyone feels down every now and then. and i would take this over claire's country or lauren's fuerza bruta anyday.
^I actually really like the eyes. It's the pose that's the problem. Her picture could have totally been like Lauren's shot this week. It's a shame she gave up, her bone structure and skin color are both perfect for high-fashion.
@More, I hate to be defending Claire, but she didn't deserve the cut over Aimee IMO. However, Stacy deserved it alot more IMO. As for this weeks elimination, I would've booted Whitney, honestly. Even if I saw any potential in her whatsoever, the poses she did at the challenge were absolutely hideous IMO, and her shot was THE worst. I felt Marvita was just having a bad week for her self confidence, but Whitney had a bad week all around. Sometimes I feel Tyra forgets the contestants are human too.
It's really interesting and unique, but more like the Afghan girl's Natioanl Geographic cover type intensity than the type of beauty I would expect from a model.
i honestly dont understand how you can just sit there like that. its not that hard to do SOMETHING! I mean shes actually putting ZERO effort into this!
