I would eliminate Amis as well, simply because she didn't want it. But photo-wise, Dominique. And I would've put Stacy-Ann or whitney in the bottom three over Allison.
I thought Allison was atrocious on the show, but now that the show is over, I kind of feel bad for her. Her "I know!" at panel is essentially what got her eliminated, and I can totally see how you'd say something stupid like that in front of the panel if you're nervous. Allison's response was understandable, as opposed to that troll Victoria who knew exactly what she was saying. Victoria's rudeness got her rightfully eliminated, but I would have given Allison another chance.
I wouldn't have eliminated someone just because I feel they lack the desire to be in the competition (unless they tell it outright that they want to quit...i.e. Kimberly) but rather on their potential to move forward. Desires change eventually, especially when you get the hang of things.
@RunFiercely: I never had the impression that Victoria was being rude to the judges. She was simply defending herself in saying she was not as meek/insecure as they say she was. When a person you thought was shy suddenly speaks up, suddenly she's rude?
I do. But I do hate to say it, Victoria may have sounded cool to some of you, but if you EVER said to a boss at a job "Can we get one thing straight?" in her tone YOU WOULD BE FIRED. So that's why she was eliminated. And I totally agree with her elimination.
Victoria was new to the business. She wanted to learn, so when Twiggy said "There's something strange about you." or anything to that effect, she wanted to know what it was. Nothing inhumane. Read it in an interview.
To be honest, I don't think her comment at the first panel was THAT bad. And I actually thought her "What is unusual about me?" was kind of cute. But her third comment crossed the line.
From what I remember, she didn't even raise her voice when she tried to defend herself at panel. But anyway, if you are a boss, you should be able to listen to what others have to say too and not just be authoritative about everything. In the case of Victoria...she didn't defend her performance at the photoshoot but she was being judged on her personality. She was softspoken but that didn't mean that she was insecure so I think what she did was not bad, but yeah it hurt her in panel.
If Twiggy said "You're quite prickly" to me, I would say something like "I'm trying really hard to change that perception, but I'm sorry if I have sounded prickly or abrasive before". It's that easy! Say it with a smile! AND SALEISHA WOULD HAVE BEEN GONE. But no, she had to be snappy.
Victoria was being defensive, maybe it's not her personality to suck up. But damn, now that you mention it. Victoria let us down by having Saleisha stay!
I think it's pretty obvious that Saleisha wasn't going anywhere. If not Victoria, Tyra would put anyone in the bottom two for any reason with the simple help of editing.
"Jenah, although you take nice photos, you walked into this room with your hair weave looking so flat, it took away the inspiration that we need to see for a model. So who stays? Saleisha, you stay."
"Jenah, we see a high-fashion vixen, but what we question is your potential for a commercial market. As a new model, you're not instantly swifted away into high-fashion editorials. I only have one photo in my hands...Pick it up, Saleisha. The judges see the beauty in you! Show us what Jenah could not."
