I completely agree Karasu, the fur trade is a disgusting industry that should be stopped, unfortunately there's too many pompus idiots swanning around wearing dead mink thinking they look nice. And to be honest, Elina's just one big hypocrite, she's a vegan yet COVERGIRL are one of the biggest brands that test on animals :S
^^^ I wasn't saying I didn't have a problem with real fur, because I do. It's awful. But I don't care if Elina was a little hypocritial in this shot alone.
^^^ I know, I'm not trying to say you're wrong for believing there's nothing wrong with this shot I'm just saying that I believe she shouldn't claim to be a vegan when she wears fur and leather, and wears make up that's been tested on animals
^She's still sort of an idiot because if she really felt as passionately about animal rights as she claimed, the very idea of posing with fur should have horrified her. But the photo is fab.
I think it'd be the opposite. Encouraging fake fur is a great way of meeting halfway with people who don't care about animal abuse. I think fur-fans are much more likely to start wearing fake fur, versus dropping fur, cold turkey. Like Kathleen said. "Fur makes you look hot."
I don't see the problem with fake fur, it's a good alternative and stops the animal abuse. Kinda like tofu for vegetarians. And, on the other hand, this shot is perfect, she looks like a real model that works big jobs. And anyone else think it looks like she lost some weight? Hopefully that's a sign of things to come :]
