She needs retouching so badly.

^ I don't think she looks bad but it's certainly not flawless. Imagine if they had just softened this photo how much better it would be.

You know what? After getting through the Apple Daily's set of photographs and then comparing it to everything else that was newly submitted, I am just going to go with my my new theory that this Apple Daily spread was about being 40 and beautiful. You kind of rocked it Nicole.

I'm guessing you're trying to make her cheekbones more prominent, but that's not fat. That's her JAW. It's looks distorted. But if you keep trying, it should get easier. I'm more-or-less a newbie to the game and retouched this photo for kicks.

Lightened her skin, smoothed it out (thanks, clone and healing brush), and brought down the sharpness a bit.

This Apple magazine, or whatever it is, produces some of the worst photos. It's really not the girls' fault. Although, she looks really tired in this spread.
