Yes. Tyra should pull a Naomi-make-up session and bury the hatchet. But I've got to admit. I LOOOVED seeing Elyse being shown as the winner in the collage at the beginning of the cycle. That is sooooo Tyra.
You know how when the cycle barely starts, Tyra will have a short clip of each winner, saying something like "America's Next Top Model has had 11 winners for 11 exciting cycles. Now I begin the search for America's Next Top Model." This cycle, Elyse was shown as the girl representing the winner of cycle 1.
Ohhhh! I was thinking of the collages from Cycle 1. I think Adrianne was a decent winner, I mean she's done quite well with Playboy. Not quite fashion but if you're going to do 'porn' Playboy's the most respectful way to do it.
Adrienne and Elyse are still some of the most successful girls from ANTM not too much because of their work, but because of the MERIT of the work that they got. Adrienne and Elyse both booked national jewelry campaigns with reknowned companies, and jewelry campaigns are a BIG deal for a model. Elyse was on the COVER of Harper's Bazaar, which is pretty much the equivalent of Vogue, not to mention her other high-profile jobs. It's a good thing they were in the first cycle, considering that the first few cycles weren't too heavy in the propaganda and rigging. Most companies didn't see it as a laughing stock and probably wanted to be associated with it, thinking Tyra WAS looking for a top model. Now, though, after the antics and the whitneys and Saleishas, top model is a joke in the real world. Lucky still, no one really remembers cycle 1, and Tyra doesn't DARE mention it, so those girls are still considerably well-off.
I agree. The show is great to get show-related work, but in the pursue of a real fashion career it can be quite a hindrance. I suppose Anya, for example, was better off coming second because she's not shadowed by the title "ANTM". I fear the next cycle will be the last, or Tyra's last anyway (I think after Cycle 13 her contract is finished). I had hoped she'd have one last 'hoorah' and really raise the bar so that the show can go out with some credibility, but as we all know with the 5'7 and under rule in place there's not much chance of that happening.
Who knows, perhaps the show will be revamped after she leaves, but we all know it wouldn't be the same without Ty-Ty.
Meh. It could turn around if the girl who win's last name is "Moss" or "Pivovarova". I doubt Tyra would let the show go without her, and Nigel is contracted until cycle 16. She's a producer, so I doubt she can really be fired.
Haha. She definately wouldn't get fired, but she said in an interview once that Top Model and herself will part ways eventually, but if Nigel's contracted to Cycle 16 I don't see Tyra going anywhere soon either. I'll be watching, regardless
This is just too amazing to talk about. Everything is perfect, but the face is not too crash hot. But that is just a little nit-pick in a stunning photo.
