I'm proud 'coz now I feel like "I have a body like a model! I could have been a model too!" even though in modeling world this is called "plus-size".
i don't get what this whole " this is regular" bit is. i don't know about the rest of the u.s., but down here in texas, a ten is NOT the average size. i'd say the majority are between 5 and 10. but frankly, hearing the whole "i'm a REAL girl" lines always piss me off. there is no such thing as the ideal body.
I love right near New York City which is one of the most body concious places in America. And yeah, some women are naturally a size zero. But more women are naturally a size 14. And by naturally I mean they don't obsess over their size enough to change it. I think that the modeling world and the real world needs to be separated here. People on this site call Whitney fat, but you would NEVER think she was fat if you saw her walk down the street. By "real girl", most women mean a woman with hips and breasts and stuff. They don't mean it in "Oh, look at that real woman in Vogue". They generally refer to it in the sense of physical attraction and stuff. I'm not sure of your guys' orientation and stuff, but I would NOT find a girl with say, Fatima's frame, sexy or appealing. Like Paulina said in the Cycle 10 finale, "Whitney's the one guys want in their bedroom". A curvy figure is sexier than being so, so thin. But being so, so thin works in the fashion world. THE STATISTIC is that the average woman in the US is a size 12.
i think there's something very chic, mysterious, and attractive about a thin woman. class, grace, and an air that really makes me want to get to know her. plus, you don't have to be a bigger girl to have curves. i personally think whitney's not very curvy at all. rather boxish to be honest. and there are girls like marjorie, molli sue, etc who DO have curves. but i'm probably a little biased since i'm really thin. i would never date a whitney, but a fatima or katarzyna, hell to the yes.
on a different note, sure the average woman may be a size 12, but do you know the average height of that size twelve woman?
Well, we are going to disagree on this, I guess. lol. I am thin too, and yes, thin girls can be attractive, but I would honestly sooner date a guy before I dated Fatima. And Katarzyna is in a completely different body category than Fatima. I honestly find Fatima's body UNATTRACTIVE. A size 0 does nothing for me. Katarzyna is very curvy but still slim. I'd venture to say she was MAYBE a size 4 on the show, but I think she's down to a 2 now. But in conclusion, Fatima < a man. and I don't go for guys. lol.

Whitney is wrong for saying a 10 is ideal, however her point is that a 0-2 SHOULDNT be the ideal size. And it IS the ideal size in the model world. She is VERY bad at getting what she means to say rite..... Ohh Whitney I love you dear, but geeze...
but with minimal diet & excercise, 0-2 is not possible for a lot of people. i think the only ideal should be HEALTH. if you're a plussie, cool. but don't be obese. if you're a 0, cool but don't starve yourself.
^Agreed. I hate the "real women have curves thing." I know people who are a size 2 and aren't very curvy, but that's natural body type. So...they're not real women? I don't think diet and exercise is bad per se, but it can be if there's too much. Health is what people should aim for, because honestly, you can only do so much to your body due to body type.
