Honestly, I really did feel for her. She was obviously miserable, and it's quite honorable that she chose to leave as apposed to taking away another girls chance at something she wasn't happy doing.
I think the only reason she became "miserable" is because Tyra and the other panelists refused to feed her ego at judging. If you remember how she acted on the boat during casting, she was very egotistical. By this shoot she made the ultimatum that she would leave even if Tyra didn't intend to send her home. Beautiful on the outside but ugly and pompous on the inside.
She tried to be awkward but she was still better than Ambreal If only she hadn't quitted, at least we would have had a better winner, because Tyra wanted a black girl to win that cycle .. I love Ebony..
@longtimefan- I did too. I think she was genuine in her homesickness and just didn't want top model as bad as she originally thought. I think she was brave for speaking up and loved how she refused to grovel when Tyra blew a gasket...
it would have been stupid of her to have stayed when they called her picture and then lasted probably one more week & then gone home and waisted her time & everyone elses. So i admire her for doing what she did
^Agreed. I do think she wanted to be there in the beginning, but changed her mind. I also believe that she thought she was going to be eliminated, which is why she didn't say anything earlier. Even though Ambreal should've been eliminated way earlier imo, I think it's cool that Ebony gave up her place for someone who really wanted it, instead of staying for a couple of more weeks and then being eliminated.
Tyra was such a bitch to Ebony! Honestly, Ebony had some of the most Potential and some of the best photos on the show, She could have won or been a very sucessful model if Tyra wasn't such a bitch to her, Gahh Whyy
It's hard to quit something you haven't even started lol but in all seriousness I was really put off by how Tyra treated her. She basically called her a horrible person for quitting when Tyra knows damn well modeling is not for everyone. The fashion industry is ruthless and often times unpredictable, and even though Ebony could have went very far in the modeling world, but she chose not to because it wasn't for her how is that "unattractive" Tyra?
Going through all of Ebony's pictures again, I wish she'd stuck around. At the same time, I respect her decision to bow out and quit the competition. She's obviously happy with whatever she's doing now, so good for her.
