This is more artistic than fashion'y. Btw, fashion is an art too. More than 1 prestigious magazine does fully nude edits. I actually love this. The shape shes creating with her body looks great and theres a true emotion in the face. Not the most flattering angle, though. But her jaw looks great. And also, kudos on getting McGinley. Hes not a small photographer. He has shot for VP and some Stella McCartney ads. This is a pretty big achievement.
The only thing that bothers me about this is her adam's apple.

It's not 'art', nor is it purely 'fashion'. It's definitely a commodifiable image that sits in both categories. But frankly who cares about whether it fits in one category or another. But overall, I have to say it's purposefully unappealing in a sense, which can be seen to be effective on one hand in relation to the photographer's intent... which probably was a critique of the contemporary female nude in art/fashion. But as a whole, I have to say I'm not a fan.
I don't expect people to really take to this picture, I don't even care too much for it. But I'm happy people are actually acknowledging that this is still something artistic. As opposed to SPAM comments discussing her pubic hair.
um... wtf!? another model that cant make it so she demeans her self by taking odd nude pictures and claims its art... im sorry but there is NOTHING artistic about this...
Something tells me Lauren didn't have any problem doing this. It was taken by a renowned photographer, and it does have artistic merit. Poor unfortunate souls confusing an image of the human form with smut. -_-
clearly you guys don;t know about art and if you hating it then is art, by the way this is wonderful I would buy a paint like this art is strange and it cause controversy is best art
