i think she has a great look, but frankly, people are too quick to fall for tyra's favorites. mckey gives dead emotion in photos. and people love it. she's pretty much done this face in every photo and people continue with the "fierce" and "high fashion". i don't have a problem with it, but IMO mckey is dead in 29/30 photos.
Well yeah, she could be better. With the favorite thing, we should be thankful that Tyra chose a better "favorite" in cycle 11 compared to cycles 9 and 10. :-> And I think it also raises the debate about whether a girl who works hard but isn't innately "(super)model-y" or a girl who doesn't give that much effort but just has it SHOULD WIN.
i think she has the potential to be an AMAZING model, but i don't think that she's quite there yet. she just needs to learn how to use her potential and then she can be amazing.
She looks practically identical to a MALE friend that I have who has zero model potential himself. Her eyes are so wonky and unfocused here it's killing me.
I heard from a certain editor-in-chief of a particular fashion magazine that top models don't need to exert much effort to get a great shot. Some girls are just born with the look and the talent for the industry. I think Mckey has that same potential. Who cares about that first eyes and emotion thing? not all fashion photos need one... She got the look! And it's working on her adcvantage even without the squint thing.
McKey is really limited in her range because she's so emotionless in her face. Plus she can't talk very well (I have the crooked mouth) so she's likely not a candidate for commercials either. I guess she's good for the knit sweater market I just prefer the model-look that is more couture.
